The Seaworld Explorer is a state-of-the-art semi-submarine developed in Australia for use on the Great Barrier Reef. The vessel does not submerge; you descend into the hull of this cruising underwater observatory and sit in air-conditioned comfort five feet below the surface of the water, exploring amazing sea life through large, clear glass windows.
Your journey begins as you board a transfer boat that takes you to the Seaworld Explorer, waiting near renowned Arashi Reef. Your skilled captain and knowledgeable narrator guide the semi-submarine through this wondrous reef filled with beautiful coral formations and hundreds of spectacular tropical fish.
Leaving Arashi Reef, the Seaworld Explorer takes you to the wreck of the Antilla, a 423-foot (128 meter) German freighter destroyed during World War II. The huge ship lies on her side in 60 feet of water where it is only partially submerged, providing a resting-place for the pelicans that frequent it. Measuring 423 feet in length, this is the largest wreck in the Caribbean.
A knowledgeable marine expert will provide you with information on the amazing underwater world around you and will be happy to answer questions. From the wreck, you enjoy a relaxing cruise to shore.

Had a great time on the semi-sub. We saw a wreck and a ton of fish. Our guide was Angie and she was fantastic. Such a lovely lady and had us laughing the whole time. She had a great personality and made the trip a lot of fun. Would highly recommend this excursion
We reserved our spots well in advance for this Semi-Sub trip from DePalm Pier in Aruba. This was a stop on our cruise itinerary and, since we have been to Aruba several times, were looking for something different to do.
We took the bus from Oranjestad up to the Pier between the Riu and HIlton Resorts and checked in. It was a little bit of a wait before starting, but the tour was very interesting, and our friendly guide Angie was so informative about the reef and the sunken Antilla's history. This is a wonderful sightseeing option for any age.
Great tour, very knowledgable guides, and pretty cool being able to see the shipwreck beneath the water.
Had a great time. Very interesting, lot's of fish to see..
Tour was awesome. Great crew. The Ocean cooperated and it was fantastic seeing the different fish and the shipwreck.
This was a new experience. Was a great experience viewing history of WWII. The fish including the two-legged ones were fun to watch.
It was a wonderful trip. Just long enough, not too long. Tip: if you are a party of four or more, try to sit opposite each other, half the cool fish scene is on the other side, so cover your bases.
This tour was amazing!
After 1st 15-20mins it gets boring
Now for something completely different! This vessel remains above sea level at all times, while its hull - at 5 feet below the surface - provides spectacular viewing of the Arashi Coral Reef, abundant Caribbean sea life and the famous WWII German shipwreck, "The Antilla".
