We did the Grand Canyon helicopter tour and absolutely loved it! Our pilot Rich put us all at ease and ensured everyone got a chance of sitting in the front! He was very knowledgeable and pointed out all the sights along the way. Amazing experience from start to end! Would highly recommend to anyone wanting an unforgettable experience!
Wonderful experience. Could not have been better. Chase the pilot was professional and knowledgeable and entertaining. Words can’t describe how great it was.
Thanks for the memories Awesome.
Great value with helpful staff especially Brent the pilot taking us over Hoover dam and the Grand Canyon giving each of us amazing views
Amazing day, best day myself and partner have experienced in 10 years together. From arrival you felt welcomed and people went out of their way to help you enjoy your time. The pilot was amazing, really friendly and knowledgeable about the areas visited. I would happily use the company again and go on one of their excursions. Thank you
Thank you so much Maverick we had an amazing tour on Sunday. Our tour guide was excellent and gave us so much information during the flight I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Las Vegas x
Aaron was our pilot from Maverick Helicopters and he made the trip for us. Thank you so much for looking after us, your friendliness and knowledge.
Make sure your gopro is fully charged b4 you head off ;) Knowledge of the area to and from the grand canyon was interesting. Maybe a booklet to go with the tour might be a good idea, not only to use as a reference to the comentery but also as a momento/
Fantastic trip from beginning to end. Pilot was engaging and informative. Rock tracks to accompany the flight gave it a special feel. Each couple got to ride up front so everyone had a go in the best seats. Landing in the Canyon was phenomenal especially when we were sharing the airspace with other helicopters. Gave the overall landscape we were flying in a sense of scale. This is the only helicopter flight that lands below the rim of the Canyon - do it...
Everything from start to finish was outstanding. Staff was great Pilots were great interviews were outstanding thank you
Minus 10! AVOID!
Viator is by far the most despicable company I have ever encountered in my entire life! They will take your money and not deliver!
Despite being recommended to use it (I assume they have family in it) I feel the need to warn everyone so they don’t fall into the same unending money pit like I did.
I booked a helicopter trip with them for 4 people at a cost of £1200! Yes, £1200. I spent all year saving to pay for that.
Used their website and for some reason, it wouldn’t accept my credit card. It forced me through PayPal (another American company) to book using the same credit card I had intended. It should have alarmed me, but I was desperate to get on the trip and we were only in Vegas for 4 days.
Advert stated trip lasted approx 3.5 hours in its entirety (pick up, flight, drop off) and we booked it for 12pm start time.
I booked it with less than 24 hours to the trip time. I received my email confirmation at 5.30pm.
The next day, at 10.45, I get a phone call from the tour people stating they were at my hotel and asking where I was. I advised my ticket said 12pm. Their response? No, we pick you up, we need people there for 11.30 and we will be taking flight at 11.45, NOT A MINUTE LATER. I told them I was a short distance away, could they wait? NO. She ended the call by saying if I got to the airport by 11.30, they would take us, but not a minute later. She was uninterested in the times on my ticket.
Now 2 of my party had other plans until 11.25, so we couldn’t make it by that time.
We made it back to the hotel by 11 and I was on the phone to the tour people. (Apparently airport was 20 mins away, they could have waited.) They advised they couldn’t refund me or rebook, as it was booked through Viator. They were unconcerned and told me there shouldn’t be a problem going back to viator to get a refund and rebook for the next day. They were clearly not alarmed at us not making it as planned either.
I contacted viator and the guy said he could see the tour people hadn’t bothered to contact me. He also stated he was confident I could get a refund and rebook with them. He completed the complaint forms and then went to rebook, before hanging up on me. I had run up a £60 phone bill and they refused to rebook via email or phone me back. I couldn’t call as my phone bill was capped. Other people’s networks weren’t working.
I then got an email from viator refusing the refund and rebooking, so essentially, just giving them £1200 for nothing.
They said in their t and c’s that I had to phone the tour company a minimum of 24 hours before trip departure, or I would forfeit the slot AND ALL THE MONEY.
This was in tiny writing, in an email sent that night.
If that was the case, why did the tour company pull up to my hotel an hour and 15 mins before departure? Surely by their own t and c’s, I had already forfeited my money by not contacting them?
I explained the ticket said 12, NOT 10.45, but they kept referring to me not contacting the tour company 24 hours beforehand. This was an impossibility as they let me book within 24 hours of the trip.
Their own staff (viator) also stated the tour company should have contacted me, but didn’t.
I asked to speak to a supervisor. Instead, I just received standard “cut and paste” emails as they all followed the same tone and format from various different people. No speaking to supervisor, you will not be refunded as per t and c’s. Staff were rude and unconcerned that they had stolen money and ruined our holiday.
They did offer $25 back to use on another excursion. Do they honestly think it is justifiable to charge someone £1200 for a trip they didn’t get to go on, when they stepped outside their own t and c’s AND the tour company appeared 75 mins before the time advertised?! And then offer $25 off the next £1200?! Well yes, they think this is acceptable! Have they taken leave of their senses?
This is what you are dealing with, con artists who refuse to help you, because they’ve got your money! They can step outside their t and c’s - you, an unsuspecting holiday maker believing you are dealing with a reputable company, cannot.
I also have to reiterate we booked the 12pm slot as we knew all 4 of us could go then. So even if we had found out beforehand that they were stepping well outside their advertised time, we couldn’t have went anyway. We also couldn’t have cancelled by giving them 24 hours notice for the full refund, as again, booked within that time frame.
*** DO NOT FALL FOR THESE SCAMMERS - TIMES ARE CHANGED WITHOUT NOTICE AND IF YOU CAN’T MAKE IT FIT, TOUGH! VIATOR WILL STILL TAKE FULL PAYMENT AND OFFER ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR YOUR HARD EARNED CASH!!! You have been warned! ***
I recommend buying your tickets from kiosks on the strip or your hotel. As they explain everything and leave nothing to chance and come when they say they will!
