Borough Market was hopping on a Saturday afternoon! Melissa had a big group of us but she managed with grace and made sure everyone enjoyed. The food and drinks were awesome and the experience was lots of fun. Would do it again!
I've visited London several times in the past, but somehow I've never made it to Borough Market. It's now a new favorite of mine in the city, and this tour gave a wonderful introduction of what makes this market so special. And the food...oh my goodness, the food was beyond outstanding. We did do a bit of walking beyond the market as well, and visited a super charming pub just underneath London Bridge and a bit of the neighborhood around as well. Our tour guide was lovely, and this was a wonderful way to spend a few hours getting to know London better.
Our tour guide, Eleanor Grondin, was great. We got to experience SO MUCH delicious food and especially liked visiting the Borough Market. She also sent us a list of what we ate and where which was very helpful.
Such a memorable experience! We all got treated so generously... Our local guide Tom brought us through the market to try so much different things including the best sticky toffee pudding, the best fish and chips, the best coffee and doughnuts in England, egg and ham bun, British cheese and cheese in red wine, cider, mead, sausage rolls and toffees, and much more. At the end of the tour everyone was stuffed and happy. I can sincerely recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys good food and who is looking for a memorable local experience in London.
Our guide Steve was very informative and entertaining guide. Together with a lot of interesting stories we tasted a lot of delicious drink and food. I have been to borough market several times but I knew a lot of things through the tour. People who joined the tour was fantastic too and I was very glad to join. This is highly recommended.
Steve our guide was wonderful and a wealth of knowledge. With an Australian connection also. Food was great and did not finish hungry. Worth the day trip from Paris. Give it a go as you will not have any regrets.
Brilliant experience our guide Matt, was very informative and fun. We had a great time and enjoyed all the different food selections.
Went on the food tour upon arriving in London and thoroughly enjoyed. Started with egg and bacon sandwiches, followed by fish and chips, sausage rolls along with donuts and pudding, among other things. Everything was delicious-all at the Borough Market.
We had a great time. Our guide was very knowledgeable and loads of fun. Thanks eddie The market was very interesting and our tastings were delicious. I would highly recommend. He also gave us great trips for other things to do In London
This was a small group tour, the best type! Sophi was very knowledgeable about the history of the market and how vendors really supported each other. The selection of foods to taste was good and gave us plenty to eat.Free time to roam the market should be rethought, it would have been better if the guide chose a couple of small vendors to introduce us to small bits. There are side streets in the market to explore and shops were pointed out from afar. There was a secret at the end of the tour that one couple missed because they left the group early. Sophi said that was the first time some one left early, their loss.
Your guides are real foodies, and they have made it their goal to introduce visitors to the ‘excellence of British’ traditional food. The guides will be sharing with you their local knowledge of the dining culture and latest gastronomy trends. The local guides will take you to food shops, beloved by the area’s locals, and we are sure that you’ll fall in love with them too.
