Make your way to Greenwich Pier, the London Eye Pier, Tower Pier, or Westminster Pier, then jump aboard your sightseeing boat to begin your tour. With cruises departing every 30 minutes from 10am throughout the year, enjoy the freedom to take to the water at your leisure.
During your Thames River sightseeing cruise, admire top London attractions such as County Hall, the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, Southwark Cathedral, the Tate Modern, Tower Bridge, and the Tower of London from your vantage point on the river. All boats have toilets, bars to buy refreshment (own expense), confectionary, and snacks, and an upper viewing deck for photo opportunities.
Afterward, alight from your sightseeing boat in central London and visit St. Paul's Cathedral — widely considered to be London’s most impressive place of worship. During your visit, explore the crypt — resting place of Admiral Lord Nelson and the cathedral's architect Sir Christopher Wren. Head up to the Whispering Gallery in the dome, and admire spectacular views over the rooftops of London from the Golden Gallery.

Great way to see the River on your own schedule however closest stop to St Paul's is the Tower of London . That is s bit of a hike for older adults or a cab ride to get to the Cathedral. There are only 4 stops on the cruise but you can ride the boat all day or hop on /off. We have fabulous pictures from the boat including unbelievable sunset pictures . The only downside is if you want to spend time in Greenwich, you might need to run through St Paul's or forego it . We did take the boat out to Greenwich but as the return trip to London is between 5 and 6 pm we did not get to see the town . I would do the cruise again with this company as they have an open top deck and not all of the cruise companies do, just do St Paul's on a separate day if you want to see Greenwich.
Really loved this tour, and I recommend to take the long version of it once you reach. You will have the option to take a short and longer tour. It's a place filled with history and you would want to know as many stories as you can. It makes the tour more interesting and enjoyable.
It's good and worth the visit.
Long walk from the pier to the Cathedral, looked shorter on the map
Very exciting especially with sunny weather !
We purchased this tour with Viator before heading off to London and when we saw that mobile tickets were accepted in the confirmation email we didn't think to read further into the fine print.
Our hotel was by St. Pauls so we decided to start the tour there and handed our voucher over when we arrived. When we went down to the dock to start the river boat cruise to the London Eye and Westminster, we were told we were not able to retrieve the tickets or board because we forfeited our voucher at the wrong location. Ultimately we didn't get to enjoy any of the tour with the exception of St. Pauls, which costs $18 for entry...we paid close to $50 a ticket for this tour.
When I called Viator they basically said, sorry, not sorry, read the fine print next time. All in all we were super disappointed and will never be booking with Viator for future travel.
Enjoy a different view with City Cruises!
