Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Chelsea Market, 75 9th Ave, New York City, NY 10011-7006

Chelsea Market and the High Line are two of NYC's best attractions! This food and history tour features incredible insights and stories as well as some delicious food and fantastic NYC views. Plus, our tour guides are truly entertaining and it's enough food for lunch!

Did you know that although the area was originally residential, markets have existed in the district since the 1840s. People moved into tenements in the Meatpacking District in the 1820s to escape epidemics in what was then the main part of New York. In 1900, 250 slaughterhouses and packing plants filled the area; and by the 1930s, those houses produced the nation’s 3rd-largest volume of dressed meats. Five meatpacking companies still operate in the district. Boutiques and bars are more common than rump roasts these days, and the neighborhood continues to evolve almost daily.

Foods and activities on the tour include:
• Slice of Sicilian style pizza from Filaga
• VIP pastry sampler at Las Delicias Patisserie (gluten free & vegan available!)
• Doughnuttery doughnut
• Little 'witch from Fat Witch Bakery
• Seed + Mill halva
• Zach & Zoe honey
• How hot can you go?! Guided hot sauce tasting by a hot sauce "sommelier"
• Brief shopping adventure with introduction and tote bag at Artists & Fleas
• Beer, wine or $5 sangria available (additional cost)

Please be aware that stops are subject to change at any time.

The tour exceeded expectations!
The tour guide Chris was informative, friendly and provided us with a resource of interesting information in addition to spoiling the group with food delicacies every step of the way. It was fascinating to walk the High Line even for a native New Yorker like myself!
I would highly recommend this tour to natives of the area as well as out of towners!

chris our tour guide was amazing. friendly and knowledgeable so much fun in the market, great food and again lots of info from chris. small friendly group. only downside was that the highline park was closed. chris was really apologetic and did his best to salvage the situation. thought this should have been checked ahead but don't let that put you off. 5 star tour .

Great walking tour of Chelsea and the Meatpacking District. We really enjoyed wandering through the Chelsea Market with delicious stops for savory and sweet treats. Ended the tour with a terrific walk along the High Line from Chelsea Market to Battery Park, an amazing tour from classic to ultra-modern New York. Sofia was interesting and knowledgeable. Recommend highly.

Really enjoyed this tour. Megan was a relaxed and informative guide. Enjoyed the different food tastings and the walk along the Hi line. We were shown areas we had not heard about and hope to go back again to explore more fully.

You start with a good tour in the market, learned a bit of history and then walk the food off on the high line and end at the foot of the new Vessel. Includes a few good tastes and a few samples. Of the 3 food/history/architecture tours I did on this visit, I’m going to have to rank this one last. The guide had different conversations with whoever was closest as we walked the Highline any information was lost to anyone who wasn’t right next to her. Still a decent amount of food and mission was provided.

Excellent tour!! Juan was a very good tour guide! Chelsea Market is a wonderful foodie destination! The High Line is always a fave for me. Hudson Yards was neat to see. Highly recommend.

Listed as a food tour, it starts outside the market. As the tour began we went into the market to try different foods. As the tour ends we embark on a walking neighborhood tour.

Josh the tour guide was great. Enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I was expecting more food on a good tour as opposed to mostly free samples given out as part of the tour. I would highly suggest starting the tour a little later as the tour started off with sweets and ended with sweets. The Tacos were delicious as was the pizza. The walk portion was also highly enjoyable.
