This tour is a must do whilst in New York!! Excellent from start to finish. 3 reasons why to do this -
1. Chaz, the tour guide, is brilliant. So knowledgeable about hamilton, New York and American history he provides some really interesting anecdotes and is able to answer any questions, so engaging!!
2. The places you visit are amazing. Both relevant to hamilton but also a great and in-depth tour around Wall Street area! Must do!
3. The music which is played along with the commentary was just perfect!! Interesting, entertaining and really relevant to the show. All my favourites were played!
Thank you Chaz! If I was lucky enough to live in New York I’d do your tour every week!
Absolutely loved the tour. I’m a hardcore Hamilton and history nerd and Jazz was such a great guide complete with stories, history, and a little philosophy. Listening to the tracks where it happened was a magical experience. Would do again and again!
I really enjoyed this three hour tour seeing the places where so much in the songs happened. A good tour for Hamilton The Musical fan. And I'd say it would be interesting even for those that had not seen the musical. I took the tour by myself, and it was nice to be part of an enthusiastic group with an enthusiastic guide.
Perhaps more enjoyable in warmer weather, but still quite enjoyable. Chaz brought us to many historically significant spots, and added interesting details about the period, the city, and the characters that added so much more depth to what we already love about Hamilton (the play). His style is not for everyone, but it worked for us.
Tour was very informative, well paced and a valuable resource to experience before going to the musical.
Great tour. Our guide was informative. We learned and enjoyed ourselves. We saw the play the next night and it helped us understand the story.
Chaz was so knowledgeable, not just about the musical, but about historical events and New York's role in the Revolution. I thoroughly enjoyed this tour and it gave me the itch to go see the show again!
This tour is very educational, but fun at the same time. Even if you are not familiar with the Hamilton Musical, you will enjoy this tour if you are interested in learning about the history of the start of this country.
Knowledgeable, informative and interesting guide in bringing out little known facts. Could better imagine and bring to life the history of the time of Hamilton and Washington.
My parents and I had an excellent experience on the Hamilton Tour. It has a great balance of historical information and information about the musical and it's background. The tour lasted exactly 3 hours and it totally flew by, I couldn't believe we had been walking for so long at the end of it. I loved walking through the streets of Manhattan listening to the soundtrack. The personal speakers mean that you can hear everything over the noise of the city. Chazz is excellent; so knowledgeable and his passion for both the musical and history really shines through. If you are a fan of the show or interested in American history in general I would 100% book this tour!
Take a song-by-song stroll through Hamilton’s rise and eventual fall as New York’s foremost Founding Father. This tour is designed for folks who have already seen or plan to see the 11 Tony Award winning Broadway production or those just addicted to the cast album. The tour puts the songs, history and lower Manhattan locations into perspective. The tour matches up individual songs with their actual location, including some bonus stops that help illuminate the time and place that Alexander Hamilton lived and died in. Each guest receives a Personal Listening Device to insure you hear every word and note, no matter how noisy the city gets.
