Louis was a tremendous guide - we learned so much! I highly recommend this tour and especially this guide.
Great tour down 42nd Street. Looked at some of the iconic NYC architecture both exterior and interior. Guide was very knowledgealbe and did excellent job.
The tour was excellent, very thorough and detailed, our docent was very helpful and gave us very interesting views and information on the development of NYC.Well done
Excellent. We learned so much about New York history. Our guide was amazing and had a wealth of knowledge
Our guide was great and very knowledgeable. Even though I have visited a NYC many times, I still learned a lot. Tudor City was fascinating.
The walking tour of 42nd street was wonderful. Guide was extremely knowledgeable and could answer any question. I would highly recommend this tour.
We totally enjoyed our architecture tour. The tour guide was extremely knowledgable. He compared the various different types of architecture throughout the city so that we could practically see the years roll by as the city changed. The fact that he had to deal with hordes of people passing around us and the noise of the traffic and still be heard and understood was remarkable. He always found a spot to stop so that we were out of the crowds while he was discribing a particular design or an interesting fact. I grew up in New York City and was back for a visit. I certainly learned a great deal about the city I thought I knew. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone, tourist or native New Yorker. Thank you.
If you have an interest in history and architecture this is a great tour hitting some of the best midtown buildings. There are some beautiful Art Deco gems here designed in the roaring 20's.
We ended up with a personal tour for the two of us with Hansell. He was great, very enjoyable and he was very knowledgeable on the buildings he showed us. Interesting and fun
Together, we can put 150 years of New York City's architectural history in Context! We'll start at the East River and interpret how the architecture inspired certain aspects of the Roaring 20's. We'll visit the Chanin, Chrysler, and Daily News Buildings, and stop at Grand Central Station to discuss the structure of the terminal's history. We'll end our tour at Bryant Park, where we'll reflect on the city's urban renewal and perhaps enjoy an alfresco lunch.
