Excellent museum. I've been on the opening day and it was crowded. However, everything inside was great!
The MOMA is a great art museum. I was pleasantly surprised that they had a large collection of impressionist paintings. The shop in the museum and the separate shop across the road are fabulous for gifts.
Excellent! Having bought ticket in advance made it easy to walk up to counter and get ticket, map, and begin exploring the museum. Reading this quote Life is made up of experiences and emotions by Louise Bourgeois first thing as I started my tour really impacted and enhanced my experience. If I had to choose which piece struck me most, I would say it was Andy Warhol's Last Supper. I was intrigued by the symbols the artist used in the picture and actually had a conversation with another admirer about the use of the Dove and GE. In fact it made me interested to know more about Andy Warhol and I researched him when I returned home. Thanks MoMA for a great day and the emotions elicited during my visit!
admission skip line VERY GOOD! we visited MoMa 04th.01.18 the day of snow storm! so there were many people...we arrived at 10am...no crowd so immediate admission. MoMa is the museum not forget to visit. photograph allowed not in all international museums!
start your visite from high level, because the best levels....architecture and inside decoration simple and smart
Moma is amazing! Booked a skip the line ticket...so easy to go straight to the ticket desk, exchange my voucher for a ticket and go straight in. Spent 2 hours browsing and admiring, probably not long enough. A visit to Moma is highly recommended, if only to see Van Goghs Starry Night, a stunning experience.
It's not really a skip the line. You had to wait in the paid online line.
On our very cold day, there was really no need to skip the line because entry moved very quickly. The museum was very crowded but you can still move at your own pace and see everything you want. The art displays are amazing. Be sure to pick up your headphone tour. Gift shop is very over priced.
We got delayed, so didn't arrive until the mass free day entrance mob was going in, so super crowded....our bad though, not researching the free day, and the timing of free day entry.
Not a terrific experience. Can't argue about the quality of art there but the layout is somewhat confusing. Will try again. Guggenheim was so much easier to navigate and enjoy.
I'm not sure what line I was supposed to be able to skip with buying this. I arrived and presented my ticket to an employee. I was told it wasn't an actual ticket, but just a voucher that I would turn in for the real ticket. I was then told to stand in the very long ticket line with all the people waiting to buy tickets. So what was the point of buying this ahead of time when I didn't avoid the ticket line? When I saw how long the line was, I wanted to leave, but had already spent the money on this fake ticket. My advice would be to just wait until you arrive since you have to stand in the ticket line anyway. Then you have the option of backing out and not wasting your money. I questioned a couple of the MOMA employees about why it said I could skip the line and both of them just shrugged their shoulders and gave me a "You got played" look.
