It was an amazing time, easy to find and very fancy. The boat took awhile to take off which was a little disappointing, they said it was due to a problem with a water pump. Also we never got any champagne which was in the description, but the experience made up for it. Such a beautiful special experience, definitely recommend!
Awesome experience. Great food. Great service. and great view. I'd recommend the experience to all my fiends.
This was a fun experience for my family of four. It's a splurge for sure, but the food was actually better than I expected. The service was great, and the whole thing was a good time. In addition, one of my kids got sick the day we were scheduled and they let me switch nights at the very last second with totally no hassle. I have to give them extra points for that. Kudos.
We paid for the shared table with 10 people, but we were upgraded to a private table next to window, so that made me super happy! It's a great idea to arrive very early. They started seating and bringing food 30-45 minutes before departure. Being early might be what got us the free upgrade.
The river was too high in late December so the boat had to go west instead of east (missed tourist sites). It was still a lovely ride. We did see the Eiffel Tower. We were given free sightseeing tickets for another day, but like most tourists, we will not be able to use them since we were only in Paris for a few days.
There is a free coat check, but you might want to keep your coat if you want to walk outside on deck in winter.
Food was just ok. I ordered snails, veal, and opera cake. I was not a big fan of their sauce, and both the snails and veal were in the same sauce. Opera cake was tiny.
As to dress, there were people in fur coats and stillettos and there were people in jeans and t-shirts. I'd recommend nice slacks and a polo or sweater, somewhere in the middle.
If you DON'T drink, the waiter will probably be shocked like ours was. We were given free unlimited soft drinks and mocktails instead.
Live music was nice. Our waiter was energetic and he spoke English fluently.
It was definitely one of the nicer boats out on the river. Highly recommend. Enjoyed a nice walk home along the river front afterward due to the transit strike. Nice safe area.
Have done this trip a few times while visiting Paris as it is a great way to see the city whilst having a nice meal. Boat wasn't too busy and service was very good, just wish we had a window seat.
Fantastic experience, very friendly, helpful and polite staff. Music was great and food was amazing. Had a fantastic and amazing night would recommend to any one to go. We chose the champagne option. Had a lovely romantic meal while viewing Paris.
Dinner was excellent. We had a window setting for two. Not rushed. View of city was lovely. A very nice was to relax at the end on our visit to Paris!
It was well organized
We left on time
food was decent and taste it well
Service was great
Our waiter was amazing
Nice ambiance and time and music
Our table was by the window and we had a great view
We went as a family with two first-timers to Paris (sons: 22 and 24). A cruise on the Seine is always nice and adding a meal and beautiful lights is an added bonus. The food, as usual, was good - you have to hand it to them for the many plates prepared and served on a boat. The wine was good too and plenty for our table. I think this is a very nice outing and will continue to suggest it to people.
If I had never been on this particular cruise before with this company, I'd have nothing to compare it to but I have a few times and have booked directly with Bateaux Parisiens and specifically directly next to the window (they have four tiers and this is tier 2 with tier 1 being the best). I don't know if booking directly or with Viator makes a difference but the lunch and dinner cruises I have taken previously with BP were on the larger boat (not sure how many they have) and the tables were beautifully set with linens and there was more room for service instead of us this time literally having to hand plates and glasses to the servers to clear our table after every course - there was another table directly next to us and not enough room between tables in front and behind for the servers to reach us. We paid to be directly next to the window and we were, but the tables and chairs were similar to metal temporary ones and the "tablecloths" were fitted vinyl covers. In defense of the server, he did try, but my husband and I did feel like we got the "B List" boat. Fortunately the sons really enjoyed the experience and that's what was most important. But I will book directly with Bateaux Parisiens in the future in case that's the difference.
We had a reservation(privilege package) for 20.30 and with few hours before we got a message letting us know the boat will stay on dock because of the high level of water. We couldn’t cancel anymore since they let us know in the same day. When we contacted customer service, they said all they can offer is the dinner on the dock or 35% back of the amount we paid(35% of $380 doesn’t seem a good deal to me). We went to the boat and tried to get our money back and in the end they said it’s possible. Now we are waiting to see if we get it. The only reason we wanted this dinner it was for the dinner with sightseeing. I see no point to have dinner on dock for this money. I can’t say anything about the food or service since we canceled it.
Combine a glamorous dinner in Paris with sights of the city's must-see attractions on this evening sightseeing cruise down the River Seine. While relaxing on board your Bateaux Parisiens boat, enjoy a 3-course meal from an à la carte menu, listen to live music and watch sights like the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Louvre as you cruise by!
