We did both bus tours (red and blue line) in one day. The red line is superior as far attractions go, but you can use the blue line to get near Sacre Couer Basilica, which is nice. It's just a walk and a funnicular ride away from the bus stop. We really loved this bus tour.
Word of advice: if you're going to ride on the top of the double decker bus, don't stand up the whole time and block the view of everyone else trying to take pictures. Never mind it's incredibly unsafe to stand up like that when the bus is constantly braking to avoid the insane motorcyclists of Paris.
We did not have any trouble getting on and off the bus. The only time we had any trouble was when we tried to get on the bus right in front of the Big Bus office. People like to push in front of you. Other than that we had a wonderful tour.
Absolutely fantastic! Would definitely recommend the 2 day tour as it gives you plenty of time to stop and look around and still see all the amazing sites from the open top bus! Great value for your money!
A great option to see the whole city; great for my mother who is in her 70s and could not get around walking as much.
Lot of city to cover.....short time frame....great to ride around in comfort....Sasha did a nice job of improvising along routes not normally taken...good time
The big bus was great for getting around Paris. The bus took me to see all of the major tourist attraction. I got a two day pass and was able to explore the city without having to take the metro. I would definitely recommend this tour.
The first Red route was really good with the major attractions of Paris with a guide on board pointing out what to see and suggestions of what to do and where to go.
The second Blue trip left much to be desired as there was no audio at all. All of the 12 stations were playing music and we did not know the names or history of the buildings let alone where we were.
This is quite poor as there was a bus full of sightseers just driving around. What is the point of paying for
glad we utilized this service as we doubled back to Notre Dame after having passed it on the bus tour - the following week, it burned down. Hard to find location to pick up the bus - not clear in the instructions that you can redeem your voucher on ANY of the bus stops. We traveled all the way to the opposite side of the city only to find that later. As there are many bus tour operators, please be more specific as to which bus to look for.
The protestors caused for a lot of issues with the bus. It couldn't do the normal route and stops. We couldn't even get on it because it was so full. I also didn't realize it stopped running so early? Not sure why when the sun doesn't set until 8:45pm?
I booked before traveling, otherwise would have chosen a different bus. Big Bus had fewer stops, smaller number of uncomfortable seats, and the drivers skipped stops without informing the riders on both of the 2 days that we took the bus. We had to walk back to the skipped stops several times, and the stops are not clearly marked on the map). Also though the brochure indicates that the bus comes every 5-15 minutes, it often came less frequently than that. In addition, the information (in small print at the bottom of the map) about the time of the last-pick up at the stops was really misleading. It says that when boarding at the last pick up time, all buses terminate at stop #4, but this is not true- the buses terminate at #4 much earlier than the last pick up time. The website did not indicate this when booking either, and should be updated. In short, compare with other bus companies before booking. I do not recommend based on my experience.
Discover the sights of Paris on a Big Bus hop-on hop-off tour! Aboard an open-top, double-decker bus, admire panoramic views of top Paris attractions including the Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum, Notre-Dame Cathedral, Moulin Rouge and more, all while listening to audio commentary. Follow two easy routes, and hop on and off at any of the 15 stops around town. To see even more of Paris, you have the option to pair your 1-day or 2-day sightseeing pass with a Seine River cruise. If you have selected the option which allows entrance to the Louvre Museum, hop off on Stop 4 or 5 (see itinerary below) to visit one of the world's largest art museum thanks to your skip-the-line ticket. Enjoy the famous Louvre — home to Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa and many other unmissable artworks.
