We deeply appreciate the extraordinary education that we received from Ivo Tyulekov, Ivo provided us with insights on the fashion industry that we would have never obtained in any other manner, teaching us how art, business, and the changing role of women in society intersected in the early 1900's to produce the fashion houses and brands that have now become so familiar. Ivo provoked lively discussion and interaction with each of us in our very diverse group to help make the topics meaningful and interesting. Our knowledge of what really goes on in the world of fashion was truly deepened and transformed by this tour with Ivo Tyulekov, and we feel as if our eyes and minds were opened to understand fashion's role as an expression of modern society, of unique artists, of consumers' aspirations, and as a money-making industry. We definitely recommend this tour for people who want to deepen their knowledge of this subject, and we would definitely sign up for a second installment of this course.
This tour was by far one of our most favorite things that we did in Paris. My daughter, who is studying the business side of fashion, and I spent an afternoon touring the high-end fashion district with Ivo as our guide. He shared background information about the designers in this district and talked a lot about the history and ins and outs of the Paris Fashion industry. We enjoyed Ivo's personal stories of working in the industry and appreciated his knowledge and ability to answer our questions. Along the way he pointed out other sites and information about Paris. Wear comfortable shoes you walk for three hours. But we loved it so much that we went back a few days later and shopped in the district. Ivo was a delightful and knowledgeable guide.
Ivo made this a great toe as he took us around Paris to check out the fashion stores all over and provide history of how all major fashion icons started their career. He was friendly, took his time with the tour, and was extremely knowledge. He also gave us a list of stores to shop that turned out to be amazing and just what we were looking for. If your into fashion and history this is the tour.
This is an AMAZING tour to do. Working with Ivo is the ideal way to learn about the history, but also the CURRENT STATE, of fashion in Paris. Ivo knows a ton and is a pleasure to spend time with. He could relate to my questions but also to my 12-year old daughter's questions. He is very plugged in to the current fashion landscape in Paris. Highly recommend this tour!
I thought I would be getting a tour of all and history of the Paris fashion market. How they came to be the fashion place of the world, especially the couture side of this ..more or less. While I got some of that, I ended walking around the store fronts of various stores in the shopping district and then learned about Coco Chanel. I am not saying the it was terrible but it certainly wasn't what I expected. If you are a major shopper then you would love this. I am a history buff so this really wasn't for me.
