It was a very long bus trip and very exhausting but even though it was raining, it was worth it. The view is magnificent. I bought only the bus trip with audio - guide. I'm not so sure if the audio guide was worth it. I had free time to go to the top of the Mont-St.-Michel and visit the Abbey and had lunch in the surrounding area. I did a lot of walking.
A wonderful place to visit. Limited time. Hoping had more time to enjoy the place. Had a safe trip and very nice staff. Recommended to my friends. Alfonso, USA
Take a trip back in time (1000 AD) to a well preserved, fabulous, ancient monastery, fortress, and still a place of worship.
we read some reviews that the tour guides were not friendly if you didn't purchase the full tour but we didn't find that to be the case. we purchased the audio guide tour and had a great time - the tour guides were friendly on the bus and even though it was a long day, we enjoyed seeing mont st michel. we thought the amount of time allocated to visit the island was enough. we would recommend it!
The tour is exactly as promised. The bus ride to and from the main office is comfortable enough. Nice guide and beautiful location. There is a stop half way between Paris and Mon St Michel which is great.
Love it! We will never forget how amazing Mont Saint Michel is, it sent us back in time and we enjoyed every minute.
This was a well organised tour from Paris with the freedom of being an independent tour. It allowed for time to really explore the sight at your own leisure. The Mont-St-Michel is definitely a must sight to see!
This is a place that you should really make the effort to go and see! The bus ride from Paris and back is a bit long but still very with it. (With the exception of the Viator bait and switch for my ticket prices!)The tour company operating the trip and the destination of course we're absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend the Mont-St
Michel trip and if possible stay closer so you can spend more time there. It was possibly the best part of our 2 weeks in Paris, Amsterdam, and Bruges.
Mont St Michel is amazing and well worth seeing. Logistically, this tour was great. Safe and comfortable bus, info was straight forward, and enough time was given at the site to properly enjoy it. However the guide was incredibly rude. It was a self-guided tour but a few people asked him questions to clarify (the guide said the instructions in French, Spanish and English but it’s clear some people on the tour did not speak any of them as their first language) and he responded by yelling at them! I didn’t interact with him at all but seeing the way he treated people was so unprofessional. At the end of the tour he tried to crack some jokes on the bus and be friendly but in my mind it was too late. I would take this tour again because the company (and the very polite and friendly check in staff at their office) organized a great tour but don’t expect a friendly guide.
A little disappointing. I recommend another form of transportation. It takes 8 hours to get there. 4 hours each way. You only get 3 hours to tour. Food is grossly overpriced and the tour guide spoke to us as though we were little children.
Mont St. Michel, or “The Wonder of the West”, is one of France’s top attractions and the most popular destination in Normandy. Our day-trip transports you to this UNESCO World Heritage Site on a comfortable coach ride from Paris, taking in the landscapes of Normandy along the way. As you approach this unique island, you’ll catch your first glimpse of its famous 10th-century gothic abbey. You’ll have four hours to explore at your leisure, with your multi-language audio guide. Wander through the village and its steep streets, visit the abbey with its medieval architecture, hunt out picture-postcard views across the Atlantic, and watch as the tide rises around the island. Don’t forget to taste local, seasonal products in the traditional décor of one of the many eateries. We’ve negotiated preferential offers in several restaurants, as well as discounts in shops and museums. The island is yours to enjoy at your own pace, before you return to Paris by coach.
