It was a fantastic trip by bus. The site itself was breathtaking. The climb was a bit difficult but if not fit, then do it slowly at your own pace as I did. I got to take fantastic pictures as I rested.
Friendly and professional staff especially our knowledgable English speaking guide Emanuella who was very caring and patient throughout our tour. Only downside not enough female toilets at rest stops and no mention of no hot items on bus when you don’t have time to drink at rest stop due to crowds on the way over..
Tour was great, and the tour guide was very articulate and clear. Great job by providing the headsets, so we could hear you without you having to yell or gather us around all the time. we had lunch at the base of Mont. St. MIchel, which could have been a little better and they should of let us eat outside, so we could look at the Mont. during lunch. they had a patio with tables, but we ate inside..and it was hot and stuffy in side...but overall, fantastic trip from Paris
Not only the place is a must visit but requesting for a Spanish tour was great because of the quality of the guide:Marisa (It is really difficult to find good tours in Spanish) She made us laughed and enjoy and was really kind. She had an excellent knowledge of the place and the history and guided us perfectly. She gave us tips for the time destined to ourselves that were really very useful As in other tours offered by Viator the quality was once again perfect!! Our visit to Paris couldn’t be better!!
Marian was a very knowledgeable and pleasant guide. The tour included lunch at a nice restaurant with a view of the monastery. They combined English speaking and Spanish speaking groups so the tour took twice as long so there wasn’t much time to explore the town at leisure after the guided tour. There is Wifi in the bus (though spotty at times) so the long drive passed by quickly with activities on our mobile devices. There was a 30 minute stop in each direction at a gas stop for free facilities and food for purchase. When we returned to Paris, the driver stopped briefly so we could catch a glimpse of the Eiffel tower light show. All in all a worthwhile experience
Overall the trip was pretty well paced and organised. The guide was very knowledgeable and clear in giving instructions etc. :) enjoyable trip!
Seeing Mont Saint Michel was very cool to see. The place is crazy busy. The bus ride is long and a bit warm.
A very very LONG drive to the site (5hrs each way) from Paris city centre. The site itself is beautiful and nice to see but not worth doing in one day. Most of the day is travelling rather than spending time at the site.
Mont St Michel is a must-see; however, as big a fan as i am of Viator i would not do this tour with them again. Plusses were hotel pick up, smooth coordination and nice bus. Beyond that, the experience fell short in the areas of comfort breaks, horrible lunch service, and commentary. i have done this tour before and know it can be much more fullfilling.,
The company running this tour is a disorganized mess. They have you meet at their tiny office along with about 20 other tour groups at the same time, forcing you into a massive queue, almost completely devoid of signage, to check in, then tell you to go outside and wait for your bus, again with minimal signage. It's basically a giant cattle call and everyone stands around confused until a harried staff member finally starts calling out your bus and you hope you can hear them. We did make it to our destination and back, at least, so it gets two stars instead of one, but the entire transport experience was distasteful and I would never tour with this particular company again.
Expand your horizons with a day trip to medieval Mont St Michel, one of France’s most iconic attractions. This magical UNESCO World Heritage island is a step out of the ordinary with its famous gothic abbey and legendary stories. You’ll arrive after a scenic drive from Paris through the landscapes of Normandy, with a guide to brush up on your history. There’ll be plenty of time to explore the island, admire the bay views and do a little shopping, with a delicious lunch included.
