Meet your local guide next to the Eiffel Tower for a brief and fascinating introduction that will give you the keys to enjoy Paris' most famous tower to the fullest. Your guide will then take you straight to the second level, bypassing the waiting lines on the ground.
On the second level, you will enjoy anecdotes about the Eiffel Tower and its unique history. You will also learn more about the City of Light, and see many of its highlights from above, including Notre Dame, the Louvre Museum, the Arc de Triomphe, and Les Invalides.
At the end of your guided tour, you will be free to continue exploring the Eiffel Tower on your own and ascend to the summit through a second elevator where even more breathtaking views await. Sip a glass of bubbly from the Champagne bar (own expense) while you admire Paris glittering below.
On your way down, be sure to stop at the first level and walk on new glass floor some 200 dizzying feet above the ground.

The main reason I wanted to make sure and send in this review, was to congratulate you on hiring such a great guide. I can't say enough wonderful things about Romain. Besides being an excellent tour guide, full of humor and very knowledgeable, he went above and beyond. We knew we would be walking everywhere in Paris, so my partner had brought his cane. We had it with us when we met Romain for the tour, only to find out that canes, and such, were not allowed in/on the Eiffel Tower. Romain was able to talk a near by shop owner into holding on to it until after we returned from the tour. Unfortunately the shop closed while we were walking back, but Romain was waiting for us with the cane. I just want to let him know how much we appreciated it!! Thank you!
We met Oleksander outside a tiny souvenir shop on a quiet street near the Eiffel tower. There was a little confusion as there was one other group of tourists meeting with another guide but she kindly and efficiently directed us towards our guide .
Oleksander was Russian but spoke four languages besides his native tongue which actually made him a very fascinating person to chat with. He was good humored and down to earth, friendly and very knowledgeable. He really seems to enjoy his job.
As we met and entered the Eiffel tower he explained bits and pieces of trivia about the tower, of the engineer and of the visit. Once up on the second level he gave us a chance to either stay with him or (as most people chose to do-) go off and see the rest of the tower on our own.
It turns out the majority of our group (of only 16 people I think ) chose to separate from us . I guess they only purchased the ticket to get the access to the tower. This worked out great for us as we were able to have a two person tour : me and my husband plus one other quasi- English-speaking couple who stuck around for most of the tour.
Once on the second level and cleared out as far as who was staying for the tour and who was leaving, Oleksander highlighted pieces of information about many different beautiful monuments as he pointed to them. He offered the lowdown on how to enter and exit them, which museums to visit and even what good exhibits were available. He lives in the city and didn’t sugarcoat any of the good or bad parts to the ville. Refreshing.
Overall experience was just wonderful and excellent and we were very very pleased that we were able to meet him quickly in a quiet spot with a little extra time to look at a souvenir shop.
My husband and I stayed much longer and had to wait in a small line to elevate to the top of the tower. Once there we were happy to see everything but ready to return to the earth.
This really is a magical monument and they do their best to make it a smooth visit. And safe. Merci à la dame de fer et le russe.
Had a great trip up, much better with a guide, you know what you are looking at and helped for the rest of the trip actually working out where is good to go etc! Incredible views.
As someone who is not great with heights, the lift is a little bit daunting - especially the lift from the first platform to the next, but once you get up there, it is all worth it.
I went at night and WOW!
Instructions to meet the guide were simple and clear, and we left pretty much on time.
The guide took us through security and into the lift area, where we were given the choice to stay with him or to go off on our own.
Paying the extra for the skip the line was worth it, even though when I went it wasn't really much time saving, but I would guess at busier times it would be.
I highly recommend this tour, and especially at night!
Instructions how to obtain tickets were clear. Tour guide was ok but a little difficult to understand when he spoke quickly. A little standing around waiting for people to join group. Was able to self-tour once we had reached second floor. Amazing views in the evening (6pm tour) which made up for anything else lacking
Somethings things happen, that are out of your control. This would be one of them. Unfortunately, the "skip the line" elevator broke down. Matt, our tour guide, pull a few strings, to get us in a shorter queue. But, because only 1 groupings of elevators was working - the queues were slightly crazy. I booked an evening tour, as I thought how spectacular the view would be; and I was right. But, 300+ meters up, it's also chilly! Dress accordingly!! Many layers. I think if we had truly bypassed the lines, the price would have been worth it.
Tour guide was very personable and had a good knowledge of the Eiffel Tower. Tour started and stopped on time and the group was not too large. Our only problem was the guide made several jokes degrading the USA. My second trip to Europe and first to Paris. The jokes made me uncomfortable. Otherwise a great tour and well worth the cost.
Tour guide was fantastic, well organised, easy to find meeting place. Only disappointment was that the summit was closed due to high wind conditions so we did not get to do that part.
Tour guide's last day. He did not provide any technical background information about the building or operating of the tower. He voiced his own opinion that the tower was the least impressive sight to see in Paris.
The meeting point is two blocks away from the Eiffel Tower, a fact that should have been included with the ticket. We arrived in time and circled the Eiffel tower looking for the meeting point.
WE finally found it but it was too late. PLEASE put on your tickets that the meeting point is AWAY from the tower itself in the business district. We're out $157 bucks.
