Stop At: Louvre Museum, Paris, Ile-de-France
Your 3-hour journey through some of the world’s great artistic treasures begins at the Arc du Carrousel, next to the Louvre entrance. Choose a morning, afternoon or evening tour and meet your English-speaking guide. Enjoy fast access to the museum with your skip-the-line pass and begin your tour through the massive venue, home to over 35,000 works of art spanning more than 73,000 square meters of exhibition space. Your entrance pass also provides complimentary audio headsets.
Wander the diverse exhibitions, starting with the Ancient Greek Parthenon, followed by the iconic Venus de Milo. While in the ancient antiquities’ gallery, view the celebrated Winged Victory of Samothrace. Then head to the Apollo Gallery to see the opulent royal crowns of Napoleon and King Louis XV. Get a taste of the French Revolution with Delacroix’s painting Liberty Leading the People and take in the Italian Renaissance as you gaze at the work of Michelangelo and Da Vinci's Mona Lisa. (See full sample list below.)
With your small group (limited to 25 people), engage in lively chats with your guide and hear entertaining anecdotes, trivia and history. Afterward, spend as much time as you like exploring the museum independently.
Please Note: Evening tours are limited to Wednesdays and Fridays at 6:30pm. For an extra unique experience, book an evening session and wind through the quiet corridors at night, when the crowds are gone, and the artwork is basked in soft light. Tour guide was like an art historian. He was wonderful engaging I kept everyone interested and in awe,
She was great and so was the tour - what a place! The tour start was easy to find and the access well worth it
We only had a day in Paris on our way to Monaco and the Louve was the only place I HAD to go. Not wanting to wait hours in line and then wander around “aimlessly”, I looked at the various tours when I saw “skip the line and see the Mona Lisa” and knew this was exactly what would work! We had the best tour guide with Carolina who was very knowledgeable, easy to understand and really cared about keeping our group together.
Ruben was very informative and knowledgeable about the works of art we saw. In a short time he gave us great insight into the sites we were most interested in seeing
He was efficient with our time as well as we did not have much extra time
First time I have done a museum tour. It was really great. So much more interesting than walking around a museum trying to figure out what you are looking at. Guide really knew her stuff. Definitely recommend!
The tour guide was outstanding. She met us as described in the literature and spent a full 3 hours guiding us through the Louvre. She provided excellent background information and presented the tour group with a variety of experiences that included fine art, sculpture, decorative arts, and furniture. An excellent introduction to the Louvre. The guides English was excellent, she was very friendly, and encouraged questions to make the experience more personal. I highly recommend this tour!
As described, well worth while especially on busy days. Good information on Museum and art works. the Louvre is an amazing place for sure.
Outstanding! Our guide was not only very knowledgeable, but fun to listen to. She provided theories, and anecdotes for the amazing pieces we saw. We avoided very long lines and she knew where the "secret" bathrooms were along the way.
1st time visitor, we were advised to join a tour. Glad we did bc it's a complete mob scene and thanks to our guide, we got a good brief run thru the museum. Our guide was interesting and friendly.
My reservation was for a 6:30 pm museum entrance. I arrived at the meeting location outside well before the scheduled time, and it was disorganized and a little chaotic. we didn't get into the museum until about 7 pm, but that was the only glitch. Once we got in the museum, the tour guide was excellent, and took us through the exhibitions with expert commentary and descriptions. As I expected, big crowd around Mona Lisa, but patience pays off here. Best part, since we started late, out guide led us through Napoleon's apartments, almost solo, giving us a few minutes alone in the exhibit...that was worth it. Saw many museum highlights, but didn't scratch the surface of this magnificent place. My suggestion, do a tour earlier in the day, then spend the evening exploring on your own until the museum closes at 9:30.
