Stop At: Louvre Museum, 99 rue de Rivoli, 75001 Paris France
Your 3-hour journey through some of the world’s great artistic treasures begins at the Arc du Carrousel, next to the Louvre entrance. Choose a morning, afternoon or evening tour and meet your English-speaking guide. Enjoy fast access to the museum with your skip-the-line pass and begin your tour through the massive venue, home to over 35,000 works of art spanning more than 73,000 square meters of exhibition space. Your entrance pass also provides complimentary audio headsets.
Wander the diverse exhibitions, starting with the Ancient Greek Parthenon, followed by the iconic Venus de Milo. While in the ancient antiquities’ gallery, view the celebrated Winged Victory of Samothrace. Then head to the Apollo Gallery to see the opulent royal crowns of Napoleon and King Louis XV. Get a taste of the French Revolution with Delacroix’s painting Liberty Leading the People and take in the Italian Renaissance as you gaze at the work of Michelangelo and Da Vinci's Mona Lisa. (See full sample list below.)
With your small group (limited to 25 people), engage in lively chats with your guide and hear entertaining anecdotes, trivia and history. Afterward, spend as much time as you like exploring the museum independently.
Please Note: Evening tours are limited to Wednesdays and Fridays at 6:30pm. For an extra unique experience, book an evening session and wind through the quiet corridors at night, when the crowds are gone, and the artwork is basked in soft light. The tour was excellent, we saw all the highlights of the Louvre, the guide was great! I would book Viator again.
John Edward did a fabulous job. He was very knowledgeable and you can tell he was passionate about art. Thank you!
We truly skipped the line, going in a different entrance than the great majority of visitors and getting priority access into the building. Our tour guide was fantastic - knowledgeable about the museum itself, art in general, and French history. She was enthusiastic and interactive. The three hour tour felt much shorter to me, and after there was plenty of time to see more if desired.
We really enjoyed our tour with Adam. He was both informative and funny!. He shared so much about the pieces of art we viewed, as well as the history behind the art. The three hours went by in a heartbeat! Even the time we waited to see Mona Lisa, was painless because Adam spent the time sharing about other art works in our viewing area. It was a great time, and definitely a highlight of our trip. We definitely recommend this tour and Adam in particular!!
This is the perfect tour to take with out having to spend all day in the crowded Louvre. Our guide was Adam and he was fabulous! Ask for him! He was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer questions and made the tour a lot of fun.
I learned a lot during the tour. Our guide Violet was knowledgeable, funny and entertaining! Highly recommend!
The guide was a bit late because of the strike. At one point we were not sure if the Lourve would be opened, but it did eventually.
The guide ( sorry I forgot her name) was knowledgeable and nice. We saw the highlights of the museum. It was a wonderful tour. Highly recommended
Our tour guide, Adam, was extremely knowledgeable but did not lecture. He was upbeat and fun to listen to throughout the tour.
We really did enjoy our tour with Sylvia in English and a group of about 25 people. The path was clear and she kept us together without being annoying ; she waved her flag when we needed to find her and she had extra batteries for the headsets.
There was a couple with a stroller and a child who were made very much aware that they would be walking and carrying the stroller ; they were very easy-going and I admired how Sylvia made it clear to them so there were no surprises on the tour.
We were very disconcerted to realize the line to even check in at the courtyard in front of the Louvre was very very very long . It was a chilly night with no hot wine or chocolat chair to be found... we absolutely felt like we needed a skip the line ticket to skip the line for the skip the line tour. (Say that three times fast!)
We’re glad we waited it out and she did lead us into the museum through a line reserved for skip the line tours . I would only suggest that the company place more people to check the people in and separate them into the groups of 20 to 30.
Again Sylvia - thank you ; you were great . Thank you thank you thank you I’ve been there before and I never would’ve been able to come up with a plan as thorough and chronological as you showed us . The fact that you said you used to come see the Winged Victory as a child made the visit so much more special . We thoroughly enjoyed our time ; we thank you for your expertise — bon courage with your future tours and Happy New Year!
Our family visited Paris over the New Year in December 2019. Our group included about 20 people and we had a knowledgeable guide who was able to take us to all the great spots of the Louvre. Unfortunately, many in group would love the audio on the tour every few minutes so it was sometimes hard to follow along. It was a very crowded day, so the AV issues could have been because of the large crowds.
