Description:

You will be driven from Paris to Giverny, in the comfort of an air-conditioned minibus, where you will start your day with the visit of Claude Monet’s property. Located at the edge of Normandy, about 50 miles north of Paris, Claude Monet’s Home is one of the most popular tour destination around Paris.

There you will discover the famous gardens created by the most famous of the Impressionist painters often referred to as the father of Impressionism, though not the first to have painted in « a style that would become known as Impressionism ». You will enjoy the sight of the well-known Japanese bridge in the midst of its flowered paths and wather-lily ponds, and the house, with its pink crushed brick façade, where the leader of the Impressionist School spent 43 years from 1883 until his death in 1926.

After a morning spent in one of this most inspirational settings, you will head off to the banks of the Epte River where you will have lunch at the lovely “Moulin de Fourges” restaurant, a 200-year-old mill. The architecture of this listed site, dating back to the 18th century, draws its inspiration from hamlet of Marie-Antoinette at Versailles.

In the afternoon, you will be driven to Versailles Palace, residence of the Sun King, Louis XIV, to enjoy a guided visit of Louis XIV’s suite, the Hall of Mirrors and more… After your guided tour inside the castle you will also have some remaining time to discover the famous “A la Française” gardens.

Our guide Zara did a wonderful job!
The Giverny stop was a delight, walking through Monet’s home and gardens.
The lunch stop was picturesque and the food and ample wine were very good.
Zara’s knowledge of Versailles was thorough and she kept the tour interesting. She was quite attentive especially when a couple in our group somehow misunderstood her seemingly clear as day instructions. Zara went out of her way to try to find the wayward people. This delayed us a bit but was happy to see her efforts to ensure all had a good experience.
Go on this tour unless you want to spend a lot of time in the Versailles gardens.

Our guide Michelle was so knowledgeable and guided us through the crowds to skip the lines with no problem! We are very glad we chose this excursion! We had plenty of time to see both Giverny and Versailles. Our lunch was delicious and relaxing in a lively atmosphere.

Our guide Zara was very well informed and extremely helpful. My husband has a disability and Zara arranged for a wheelchair and ensured he was able to tour the Versailles. The outdoor lunch was in a wonderful restaurant. The food and wine were excellent.
Great tour, well worth it.

This was a very well planned trip. Small group, clean new van and a great guide / driver. The trip started on time, the driving was fast and safe, various stories from the guide throughout the whole journey. An absolutely amazing trip to Giverny to see Monet's garden's and his last house, accompanied by numerous details about the artist's life from the guide. Leisure pace of the trip with tons of free time. We were able to stroll the streets of the village and enjoy the fresh air, flowers, quint houses and beautiful landscapes of French countryside, as well as visit the cemetery and see Monet's grave. The dinner place at the old water mill is a hidden gem. The food and wine was simple, but very good. The setting is very appealing with wooden tables and benches, fireplaces and old stone walls. Versailles would never disappoint anyone! The guide was very knowledgeable and spoke good English. As a farewell, he gave us some tips for the small restaurants in old Paris, which we took and enjoyed for the rest of our trip in France.

We had a wonderful day trip with Ivan as our guide- she was super knowledgable and sweet and made sure to give us plenty of time to explore on our own. This trip is definitely worth working into your vacation itinerary. Thank you, Ivan!

We truly enjoyed our trip to Giverny and Versailles. Michelle, our tour guide, was very friendly and knowledgeable. She greatly enhanced our understanding and appreciation of Monet's life and art, as well as the history that surrounds the Palace of Versailles. It was a most enjoyable day.
Our only disappointment was that your online description in What to Expect, stated "watch the famous Musical Fountain Show every weekend from April to October". Our tour was Saturday, September 14. We were given tickets which also stated we would see the Musical Fountain Show. Our bus was departing before the show began. Needless to say, we thought the Fountain Show was included in the price we paid. We believe you need to correct your tour description or lower your fee accordingly.
