Description:

You will be driven from Paris to Giverny, in the comfort of an air-conditioned minibus, where you will start your day with the visit of Claude Monet’s property. Located at the edge of Normandy, about 50 miles north of Paris, Claude Monet’s Home is one of the most popular tour destination around Paris.

There you will discover the famous gardens created by the most famous of the Impressionist painters often referred to as the father of Impressionism, though not the first to have painted in « a style that would become known as Impressionism ». You will enjoy the sight of the well-known Japanese bridge in the midst of its flowered paths and wather-lily ponds, and the house, with its pink crushed brick façade, where the leader of the Impressionist School spent 43 years from 1883 until his death in 1926.

After a morning spent in one of this most inspirational settings, you will head off to the banks of the Epte River where you will have lunch at the lovely “Moulin de Fourges” restaurant, a 200-year-old mill. The architecture of this listed site, dating back to the 18th century, draws its inspiration from hamlet of Marie-Antoinette at Versailles.

In the afternoon, you will be driven to Versailles Palace, residence of the Sun King, Louis XIV, to enjoy a guided visit of Louis XIV’s suite, the Hall of Mirrors and more… After your guided tour inside the castle you will also have some remaining time to discover the famous “A la Française” gardens.

The Musical Fountain Show takes place every weekend from April to October.

During this period access to the gardens will be included to see the fountains and groves spring to life to the rhythm of the music:

On Saturdays and Sundays from April to October

Tour guide was great! Everything went smooth and easy. You don't really get much time in the gardens at Versailles. That was the only downside.

A full day at both spots. Tour guide was exceptional. Both tours were informative and done with knowledgeable info of Monet’s home and Versailles’ history.
Both of us enjoyed the tour of the two sites.

With only 6 people in the group it gave everyone time to ask lots of questions. Isabel was a wonderful driver and guide for the day. The lunch was very good as well.

Our tour guide Isabelle was super nice and knowledgeable about the sites and also about Paris. Great tour led through Versailles, you were on your own at Giverny. Our group only had 4 people so it was very convenient. Would recommend even for just the transportation to Giverny and Versailles!

My husband and I were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary in Europe and booked this day trip. Giverny and Versailles are beautiful. Our tour guide Rosanne was great. She is very knowledgeable. She was very in tune with the needs of our small group and some of the limitations one of the guests had. Booking the trip online was easy. The instructions on where and when to meet were clear and easy. Our only suggestion is skipping lunch at the restaurant (it was wonderful) and spending more time at Versailles in the gardens. Maybe grabbing something on the go instead of taking the hour or so to eat. We will definitely book through Viator again.

Monet's garden was magical, the only damper was the rain that flowed all day long... the countryside you travel through is so quaint, the lunch was superb, as well as the wine, and Versailles was beautiful... a lot of people, but worth the trip

started with white powder from the limestone foothills of Normandy. to the white snow of Monet, to the colorful gardens of France... and the gargoyles holding their breathe, too much to comprehend. Lets just say France did it differently than everybody else

We had a great time, and our guide was fantastic. Very happy that we went when we did because the gardens seemed crowded to us, but apparently it is usually 10x worse. Very narrow pathways. Versailles was wonderful and having the private guide was excellent!

Comprehensive, well organised trip. Good way to see 2 big sights in one day. Great guide Frederick.
Only disappointment was the lunch. Beautiful venue. Thought fish was a poor choice for a starter as a lot of people don't like fish; maybe a choice ie a salad instead. Main and dessert was fine. But, coffee in a paper cup! Would highly recommend tour, pricey, but small group so much better.

Very good, both locations were really packed, but that's nothing to do with the tour company. Included meal was excellent.
