Penang is all about the food, and what better way to experience that food than with a local? Mark gave us a great tour with information and history of the city, coupled with some amazing dishes and even explained the cultural significance and history of the dish. We would've never found these places to eat on our own, and avoided any "tourist trap" places to eat.
Our guide provided local history of various areas of old Georgetown. The street food was amazing. Excellent.
Wonderful and comprehensive tour of the different foods in Penang, and also the history that has allowed this food culture to develop.
Tour guide was ver informative and engaging, and the tour provided for our 10 month old baby well.
A great way to spend an evening. Our guide ,Mark, was very informative and took us to places we ordinarily would not visit. Along the way,we ate some very tasty food and finished up in a nice cocktail bar. The whole trip was well worth the money and I have no hesitation in recommending this tour.
Incredible. Can recommend this tour.
Mark was an AWESOME guide who added color to the food we ate. The color that I am referring to is the cultural element and how the food migrated with the people in the region. Not only is Mark professional, he LOVES food, which came through when he described what we were eating.
Thanks for everything Mark and I hope we can link up with you again.
Mark was an AWESOME guide who interspersed cultural tidbits with the food that we ate. I would recommend Mark as he is very professional and extremely knowledgeable. Also, he LOVES food!!!!
Thanks again Mark and we are looking forward to meeting you again soon.
Our guide Mark was quite exceptional. He did not just stick to talking about foods but the history and culture of particularly George Town. Without doubt the highlight of our trip to Penang. Thanks Mark!
Our tour with Mark was amazing!
He is very knowledgeable about the area, the history, the food, etc.
The food was fantastic and learning to make our own cocktail at the end of the night was a highlight!
We had a ton of fun!!
My daughter and I were met by Mark and commenced our tour. Mark was lovely and knowledgeable. The first place we stopped was for a curry which was delicious then we went to an outside cafe style place and had typical Penang cuisine and lastly to a hawkers place for our final food. All the food was good ,authentic and adequate. Mark took us, at the end of the tour to a bar/ restaurant where we all shared a few beers.
Whilst I appreciate Marks time for the tour I feel it was overpriced as certainly Hawkers places are very cheap.
We enjoyed the tour although it may have been more fun with more people attending. We learned a great deal about Georgetown and Penang in general and I would recommend it.
