We enjoyed this well structured day out enormously even though all the attractions are very popular tourist destinations. Finishing up in the Blue Lagoon to relax was a good relaxing way to finish though it is very expensive (as is all of Iceland, reputedly the most expensive place in Europe). The guide was excellent throughout and very well informed. My only gripe, and it is not unique to Viator, is the indiscipline and disrespect shown to other tour participants by those who do not show up at the designated rendez vous on time. We lost almost 30 minutes after the first stop because of this. A simple rule should be enforced: if you are more than ten minutes late the bus leaves and you will have to find your own way home.
Wonderful tour! Willie was a great guide! Tip:book optional admission to Blue Lagoon well worth it. Pick up very close to hotel
Friendly and funny driver. Small bus a bonus for getting to locations not available to big buses. Good day out. Recommend.
Loved taking the tour and learning a little about Iceland. It's an overview but sets the stage for coming back to go deeper into some great adventures. Austere and interesting land, I recommend this excursion !
Our Golden Circle tour was made even more special by our considerate driver, Magnus, who tried to accommodate everyone despite a tight schedule. He added interesting commentary and answered all our questions. I felt very comfortable with his driving ability.
We had a beautiful sunny and warm day in the small group mini bus. Our guide Arne was intelligent, knowledgeable and funny young man. He kept us informed about sites we visited and life in Iceland. Interesting country and hip people. Blue Lagoon is most interesting place, but expensive.
Must do! Great way to see all the highlights of Iceland all in one day. Would recommend this trip to anyone.
If you only have a limited time in Iceland/Reykjavik, this is a must-do tour, as it packs in just about all of the geographic/geological things you want to see in the Reykjavik area into one day. We arrived on a cruise ship with just one-and-a-half days, and this was perfect for our time and our budget. The pick-up at the cruise terminal was smooth. Were were tired at the end... yes, but we were thrilled with everything we saw and did.
A great day where you see various natural formations (waterfall, stand inbetween two tectonic plates!)
This trip is also great as it has the blue lagoon (transfers) included in this trip, so it ticks another popular tourist attraction off (have to buy your admission seperately)
Mini bus (16 seater) was also comfortable, has wifi and charging ports (a modern day dream)
Our tour guide was knowledgeable and the scenery beautiful. The only negative was the uncomfortable tight fit in a smaller bus. If taking this tour, try to be in a larger coach since you are on the road for 10 hours. Great day otherwise!!!
The Golden Circle and the Blue Lagoon are two of the most famous attractions in Iceland. Join this tour to discover both in a unique one day adventure. During the tour you will visit Thingvellir National Park, Geysir and Gullfoss waterfall as well as the volcanic crater Kerid (entrance fee included).
After exploring the amazing Icelandic nature, you end the journey by soaking in the extraordinary Blue Lagoon. You arrive before 17:00 (5:00pm) and enjoy a relaxing time there for about 2 hours before heading back to Reykjavik
(entrance fee to the Blue Lagoon is not included and must be booked in advance at own expense).
