Allot is covered by this tour and you have ample time at each location. Tokyo Tower, the tea ceremony and bonsai garden, the bbq lunch, the outer gardens of the imperial palace, the river cruise and the Senso-ji Temple were all quiet different and wonderful to see. Our tour guide was excellent, spoke allot between the locations about Japan’s history. Great way to see lots in a single day.
Excellent culture day ,excellent japanese bar-be-cue lunch,Many steps to climb and ascend, very good day
Very Well organised informative great destinations. Friendly helpful. Really enjoyed. Timely. Thank you
Awesome guide who’s English was great. Lunch was great, specially the Tea. Boat ride up the river was a relaxing time. Overall a great time.
The tour was very well organized. Our tour guide Mokoto was very knowledgeable and very accommodating. We learned a lot about Japan and it's rich history. We even learned how to count to 10 in Japanese. We saw a lot on this tour despite the heavy clouds and rain. The tea ceremony was a wonderful experience and the lunch was delicious. We had more than enough time to see each stop and spend free time too. It was a great way to start our trip in Japan and get used to getting around.
First of all, shoutout to our wonderful tour guide, Mina for making it a funny and fun tour! She's amazing at English and is packed with funny jokes. This was our first time to book at Viator. We were hesitant at first but we're happy to know it's legit. Was able to book in Japan already and 3 days before the date. All bases have been covered in this tour and lunch was luxe! 4 pcs of pork cut meat cooked in front of you with a cute scoop of vanilla ice cream after. I could do without the Sumida River Cruise and would have been better if shopping was longer than 40 mins or so but other than that it was memorable and one for the books.
Our tour guide was Aki (I hope I have remembered her name correctly); she was funny, sweet, incredibly interactive and knowledgeable. We saw far more than we would have had we been on our own and it was great to have a shuttle to cart us around, one less thing to worry about for those of us not fluent in Japanese. I highly recommend the tour and want to especially send thanks to Aki.
Our guide was very helpful. She explained the transit system because this tour does not return you to your original starting point. It was quite an experience and great introduction to Tokyo!
Our guide was very entertaining and informative about each attraction. We saw Tokyo Tower, Tea Ceremony, had a traditional (no bad jokes or flaming onion towers) Japanese hibachi style lunch at another beautiful garden, Imperial Palace exterior to see the Palace Watch Tower, a relaxing ride on the Sumida River Cruise to the Asakusa Temple plus we drove past many important Tokyo districts like the Ginza shopping district, the National Diet Parliament building and many other similar buildings. So if you’re looking to do a lot of the tourist attractions in 1 day this is the tour for you. I really liked the Tea Ceremony stop since you could walk out in the garden and see a 525 year old bonsai tree. The lunch was hearty and very good (beef and pork cutlets plus veggies). Two minor things for me: the river cruise was just ok and the shopping selection at the Asakusa Temple shops was typical tourist stuff. I could have done without those but you did receive some historical perspectives on the way Japanese temples, shoguns, and the emperor were related. Be prepared to be moving all day.
This is a nice way to get a quick orientation of Tokyo for 1st timers (like us), as we did it on day 2 of our 8 day stay in Tokyo (we then did a number of our own trips via train). Our tour guide and bus driver were excellent, good English, and luckily a small group of approx. 12 of us, made it better to do all the things, plus we caught an earlier cruise enabling more time at the shrine area as a bonus. You get a short insight into Japanese history and culture and the places we went were well suited to this. We especially enjoyed the lunch, whilst the remaining parts were all very good (tea ceremony, gardens, shrine area market and the shrine). It was also good that we didn't do shopping (eg Ginza) as you could do this after the tour or on another day, as it is a long day anyway and reasonably fast paced. Just be prepared to get back to your hotel, and although a bit daunting to take the train from Tokyo station it was actually quite easy and quick, but we are also on the younger side. Overall, we thought it matched the tour description, good value for money, and a good orientation to Tokyo and Japan, and worth doing if you're a 1st timer, (just that the other tours we did in Japan are more memorable for us).
See Tokyo at its dynamic best on this jam-packed day of sightseeing — perfect if your time in Tokyo is limited. A professional guide points out highlights such as the Imperial Palace, Nakamise shopping street and Asakusa Kannon Temple. Soak up the views from Tokyo Tower, take part in a traditional tea ceremony in a Japanese garden and enjoy a relaxing 40-minute cruise on the Sumida River.
