This tour was great for a one day tour. We got to a heap of different sights, and our tour guide Mayumi was great, showing us the sights and teaching us a bit about Japanese culture.
This tour can be a bit rushed due to how much is being done in the one day, so if you really want to spend a bit more time at each place it might require a 2 day tour.
Otherwise if you want to see a few fantastic sights and get some great photos all in one day this tour is fantastic.
Great day out. Guide was excellent. Ride home on Bullet Train great experience and do recommened as a good day out. Meal and meal venue was disappointing. Would receomment looking at a better venue and a meal that caters for non japanese.
Bad start because of bad traffic going out of Tokyo and extra long journey! Made up for by an excellent guide superb views, good company and variety of places visited! Also extremely knowledgable guide gave very interesting insight into Japan in general!
This is a great trip if you want to cover Mt Fuji and Hakone.
The tour guide is extremely knowledgeable and also puts a lot of effort in entertaining the visitors during the travel.
Most of the 11 hour tour goes in travel though.
The lunch is really good , especially given the fact that we had ordered Veg meal.
The only complaint would be that the visit at 5th station can be longer. 30 minutes is nearly not enough to witness the beauty of Mt Fuji.
Even though it was a wet day, it was a most enjoyable tour, topped off with a late afternoon view of the peak of Mt Fuji from the Ropeway. Timing needs to be reviewed as we ended up having only 15 minutes at the top of the Ropeway at the end of the day, which was the one disappointment.
It was raining all day on the day of the trip, so I was a bit down since you can't see Mount Fuji on a cloudy day. The guide (I can't really remember his name, a guy in his late 50 I guess?) is a really great person. He keeps apologizing for the weather even though it's not his fault at all. He tries to keep the group in a good mood everytime. Personally, I find the trivia about Japanese cultures that he shares along the road is really entertaining. Lucky for us, at the Komagatake Ropeway we can finally see a glimpse of Mount Fuji beyond the clouds. It was breathtaking and I can only wonder how beautiful it will be on a clear day. Overall, a really nice trip!
Unfortunately for us the weather was horrible and we were not able to see anything in any of the sites we went to. Bad luck
Poor English by guide. Conflicting directions for bus location created confusion and lost time for customers!
Guide was at best a 2. With a better guide I’d have given a 5. Trip was on 11-10-19.
Our trip started on a day of a holiday. The traffic was horrendous. It took us twice as long to get to the first stop (5 hours in a bus traveling very slowly). We wish the company had informed us of this possibility before we signed up. Many people on the bus will not use Viator again because of the extended time in the bus. We did not get on the cable car because it was dark. There were some redeeming qualities: the hot pot lunch and the view of Mt. Fuji when it came out of the clouds. The guide tried hard but could not overcome all of the other adversities.
Way too much time invested in riding on a bus for very brief moments at each of the three sites that we visited. This was compounded by poor weather, which made seeing Mt. Fuji nearly impossible. There should be way to get more time at each site instead of feeling rushed. Lunch was not too strong either. Tour guide was uninspiring.
Discover some of Japan’s most famous highlights on a full-day guided tour from Tokyo. Travel to Mt Fuji’s bustling 5th Station and learn about the revered mountain. Continue to nearby Lake Ashi for a short boat cruise, followed by a ride on the Mt Komagatake Ropeway. Climb by aerial tram to the top of Mt Komagatake and get fantastic views of the Owakudani volcanic valley, Lake Ashi and Mt Fuji. Return to Tokyo by bullet train in the evening. Enjoy the ease of included transportation, entry fees and a knowledgeable guide.
