Description:

Start your full-day trip with morning hotel pickup at select hotels and locations in Tokyo and then travel by air-conditioned coach via a scenic 2.5-hour route to Mt Fuji's 5th Station, located 7,607 feet (2,305 meters) above sea level.

The natural beauty of the Japanese landscape will amaze you at your first destination: Mt Fuji. Learn about Mt Fuji through displays and films on the ecology, weather conditions, history and culture around the mountain and the Fuji Five Lakes. Your 20-minute stop includes the second-floor observatory deck, which provides up-close views of the iconic mountain on a clear day.

Return to your coach and continue on to 5th Station, located about halfway up the mountain, for more breathtaking views of the surrounding lakes. You have 30 minutes to explore the souvenir shops, torii gates and shrines that decorate this station, known as the border between the heavens and the earth. Later enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

With your appetite sated, drive to nearby Lake Ashi, a crater lake formed after a powerful volcanic eruption nearly 3,000 years ago in what is now Hakone National Park. Embark on a 15-minute cruise over Lake Ashi, which provides postcard views of Mt Fuji, Mt Komagatake and other mountains from various angles.

From the lake's shores, take the Mt Komagatake Ropeway to the summit and enjoy scenic vistas over Hakone National Park. For 50 minutes, including time to walk around at the peak, the aerial tram provides sweeping views of majestic Mt Fuji, the Izu Peninsula and the Izu Islands, among other sights. Your tour concludes with a coach transfer back to the Tokyo area around 8:30pm.

Although we could not went to the fifth station, it was a good view of Mt Fuji, also the lake trip was really good even in a very windy day and cold, about lunch it was fair enough for the price and we were lucky because in the way to Tokyo we did not found any delay. Overall experience worth it.

My son and I really enjoyed the Mt. Fuji trip. Our guide spoke decent English and was understandable. She gave us history of Japan that you may not have known. The mountain itself is absolutely awesome. Highly recommend this trip. It also included lunch Japanese style and Lake Ashi. The view from the top of the ropeway at lake Ashi is stunningly beautiful!!

It was our first time visit to Mt. Fuji, so it was pretty exciting. The view from the 5th Station was not too clear as fog came down all of sudden and made it hard to see Mt. Fuji. But we finally got a clear and beautiful view from Lake Ashi and Hakone as the weather became clearer. We really loved our guide, Anne, who always full of information, very kind and always tried to put our mind to rest, best of all; she sang us a song with her beautiful voice.I think the lunch was just okay, the restaurant was located inside a hotel, and it was really packed. It was a long day, but the bus was pretty comfortable, we could stretch our feet all the way.Overall it was a pretty good experience. Thank you!

Our tour guide Hiro was excellent, great communicator and organized. The itinerary was made very clear to us all day thanks to him. Mt Fuji was beautiful although very cold, we were lucky enough to have a clear day so we could see her in all her glory. Lake Ashi and mt Hakone were a good extra experience although it is a long day so be aware of this if you’re strapped for time

Very well organized; was perfect sunny day; although all locations described itinerary were covered, Mt Fuji, tour highlight, could be seen only while driving. Luckily, made unscheduled stop to enjoy serene view of Fuji-san. Drive up to fourth station and view from tjerevwas disappointing.

Great to see Mt Fuji in the sun but it's amazing how quickly the clouds roll in and cover the mountain. Unfortunately, the weather stayed cloudy and we were unable to see the mountain from Lake Ash and the top of the ropeway was fogged in! The traditional lunch was very tasty but was a little rushed and an hour would be better there. We would recommend that the train be the only option to travel back to Tokyo due to the heavy traffic at that time resulting in a slow bus trip.
