While we were in Japan during an unprecedented time which meant major attractions were closed due the virus and we had rained upon our tour. Our tour guides Eric and Sakurai were very considerate in attempting to give us our full experience in Japan and had to make some changes to our itinerary due to the weather and the crisis. We still had a great time and got to experience some of the temples without major people traffic. We got to see Japan in a way it has never been seen before and I look forward to returning to see it busy and full of life again..
Sonoko our tour guide is absolutely love. She is on time, gives clear directions and suggestions and very professional. She made sure our itinerary is met and always so helpful with our toddler she even has treats for her. She is knowledgeable and speaks English really well. I would highly recommend this private tour in Tokyo specially with Sonoko as your guide. Prepare to be exhausted though as it's very compact, a lot of walking and train ride but super worth it. Thanks again Sonoko and Viator for a fun day in Tokyo!
The private tour was amazing. The tour guide did his best to explain everything about the Japanese culture and also made sure to go to all the places I liked to visit. The tour guide had good English skill and a fun and friendly personality. I would definitely recommend this to people who visit Tokyo for the first time and want to make sure that they see all the nice places with a good explanation.
The Tour was excellent. Katsunori Fujiwara, my tour guide was very knowledgeable, informative and enthusiastic.
All areas of the City of Tokyo were covered, All questions that were asked were answered.
Thank you so much for great day! We would really recommend the walking tour!
This tour was by far the best thing I did on Tokyo. My guide, Mr. Katsunori, was communicative, knowledgeable and just fun to spend a day with! We saw all the “must sees” and he provided me with background information for all the sites. Our hotel was right by the Tokyo Tower (a spot on the planned itinerary) but he changed course according to my preferences. I highly recommend!
Yoshida was an incredible tour guide. Her personality was very warm and friendly. She took us to all of the locations we requested and even made a few extra stops along the way. Showed us the various foods to try, helped us with communicating, and showed us different customs to show respect. Her English was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and explained the history of different sites very well. She went above and beyond to help make our trip enjoyable and even stayed a little longer than required. Would love to go back and tour with her again. She is truly a blessing and made our trip exceptional!
It was a wonderful tour where we got to see everything we wanted to and at the pace we wanted. Our guide got us through Tokyo easily and we would’ve been lost without her and it would taken 3x as long. She was knowledgeable, sweet, helpful, and a joy to spend the day with. We are so happy to have taken this tour for our first time to Tokyo
We had the best, most informative, friendly guide for this trip!! Ted took as around Japan to see all the amazing attractions - good understanding of english... and a excellent history knowledge. We had one awesome experience - thank you Ted
Mr Yoshi Susuki, representing OTOMO, was exactly where we had been instructed to meet him and this was a great start to a marvelous tour. Yoshi asked us where we wanted to go, what we wanted to see and offered his suggestions also. We visited Shinto and Buddhist temples, were educated in the history and rituals of both, went to Japanese gardens, markets, city area's, the amazing subway (used several times to move around) enjoyed a delicious Japanese lunch, walked the busiest pedestrian crossing in Tokyo, went to little known observation decks (free) and had a rest in a cat cafe. Yoshi then assisted us in train travel back to Yokohama. What an incredible day with a gentleman who knew his city intimately. A big THANK YOU to Mr Yoshi Susuki for our whirlwind education,
The guide, whose name I don't want to mention since he was a very nice guy, should not work as a english guide, because his knowledge of english was not sufficient to transmit the knowledge that he had (if he had any since we could not understand what he was saying) to us.
The perfect tour for first-time visitors to Tokyo where you visit all the must-see sites in one day!
Travel around Japan's capital, Tokyo, which has prospered as the center of economic, social, and cultural growth since the Edo era, 400 years ago.
Tokyo is replete with fabulous sites. The imperial household stands where the Edo castle used to be; Tokyo is full of temples and shrines, fish markets, a radio tower and much more.
A fun-filled plan with a variety of categories: history, culture, and food! The guide will take you around and provide interesting explanations. Just relax even if you're new to Tokyo.
At the end of this tour, you will be just as familiar with Tokyo as the Japanese!
