Sakura City, an hour away from the center of Tokyo, was once a castle town. Sakura Castle no longer exists today, but was home to samurai 400 years ago.
Samurai, Japanese warriors, with swords on their hips, used to rule the land and the people in various areas of Japan.

Sakura City is still covered in traces of this historic period; the samurai period, with the ruins of Sakura Castle, large houses that once belonged to samurai and a museum of Japanese swords - aka the souls of samurai.

Sakura has a wonderful natural environment which has stayed unchanged since this time. Enjoy a refreshing walk around Sakura Castle Ruins Park, and a day away from the hustle and bustle of the metropolis.

- The tea shop, Sankeitei is only open on Sundays.
- If any of the scheduled places are closed on the day you visit, your tour guide will take you to an alternative location.
