There will be three meeting-up locations for departure, and please choose your preferable one while booking the tour. We will depart from Sapporo Excel Hotel Tokyu around 7 A.M. and head to Monbetsu. Two short breaks will be taken at Sunagawa Highway Oasis and Michi no Eki, Taki no Ue Service Area respectively for 15 minutes. Guests will have Makunouchi bento box for lunch on the bus before arriving in Monbetsu at 12 P.M..
First take ride on the ice crusher “Garinkogo II” and sail on the Sea of Okhotsk, which is the Northeast sea in Japan. Starting from estuary of Russia’s Amur River 1000 km away from Hokkaido, the fresh water flows into Sea of Okhotsk, freezes up and floats all the way to the south while growing into larger scale. That mysterious purified cube moves along the seashore of Okhotsk by late January and the real scene is more than overwhelming.
After one-hour icebreaker ship tour, we will head to Monbetsu Ocean Park and Okhotsk Ice Sea Observation Tower, from which another perspective of the grandeur sea world can be seen. Please kindly note that extra admission fees for ocean park (200 Yen) and for observation tower (800 Yen) have to be paid. Then there will be a stop at Marukaichi Suisan for seafood shopping, followed by a visit to another shop Dezuka Suisan for different kinds of fish products. Fish plate and mayonnaise crab meat-ball will be given as a gift.
During return trip, we will take rest for twice at the same resting areas on the way of coming. Guests can choose to get off at Sapporo Excel Hotel Tokyu, Sapporo View Hotel, or ANA Hotel Sapporo between 19: 30 and 20: 00 P.M..

Embark the ship to Sea of Okhotsk and watch the overwhelming floating ice! This one day bus tour depart from and return to Sapporo. Guests can make your own choice from available pickup and drop-off locations. We will sail on the ice crusher “Garinkogo II” and break through the ice in extraordinarily large scale. In this tour there will be visit to the only marine park for raising seals in Japan, and guests can also enjoy the world under the ice sea by sightseeing at the observation tower (admission fees are not included). And shop for some seafood products at local stores of Marukaichi Suisan and Dezuka Suisan! Bento box lunch is provided.
