Visit: Bali Zoo, Jl. Raya Singapadu, Sukawati 80582 Indonesia
Breakfast in the zoo might be a common thing, but breakfast with Orangutan? That would be one kind of an experience! As the first one in Indonesia, Bali Zoo has launched a ‘Breakfast with Orangutans’ program. Now, guests are not only able to eat breakfast like a king, but also with some of the kings in the jungle: orangutans. The package comes with a hotel pick-up around 7 a.m., and the van that picks up the guests will then head straight to the zoo. Once arrived, guests can still breath the fresh air of Gianyar, feel the breeze, embrace the light morning fog, and hear the chirpy birds and other animals that are just awake and ready to snooze off your sleepy mode on.
The Zookeeper will guide guests to Gayo Restaurant at Kampung Sumatra, see the orangutans play in the playground. Other fauna’s will also be joining the hearty breakfast. A scrumptious breakfast is served during Breakfast with Orangutan. Start with assorted tropical fruits or fruit juice, followed by freshly baked bread, and optional choices of main course that ranged from Fried Rice, Buttermilk pancake, Classic Cereals and more. Complete your morning with a cup of Balinese coffee or warm English breakfast tea to compote a perfect ending to your breakfast quest.

Great experience! The transportation to and from the zoo was very convenient especially when traveling with small children, as was the early admission to the zoo to avoid the crowds. We enjoyed the breakfast selection very much and our interactions with the animals were up close and personal. We captured many great photos with the orangutans, elephants, gibbons, parrots, etc.! We will do this experience again, next time we visit Bali!
Fantastic morning. Hotel pick up was prompt and got us there on time. We werent expecting elephants to be a part of it too, but it was! All animals were extremely gentle and looked after. Food was fantastic. Would definitely recommend
Amazing, the breakfast itself was huge something for everyone with so much variety and staff very attentive. Not only to you get to be up close to Orang utans but you can hand feed elephants, hold birds, feed a porcupine hold a monkey and so much more. Staff will take photo's for you on your camera as well as buy souvenir photos. After breakfast the zoo is unreal, you can ride the elephants and feed tigers, crocodiles and make sure you go into aviary as lemurs are so cheeky. Wonderful day for both children and adults. Our driver picked us up from Hotel and waited until we were ready to go very friendly.
We where picked up by a pleasant driver the food was amazing great variety and all freshly prepared the staff where all very friendly and couldn't do enough for you had photos taken with the very friendly young orangutans they also had 2 elephants a number of birds and a baby hedgehog. They are doing a lot of work upgrading the animal enclosures to a modern style zoo will be fantastic when completed well worth a visit.
My family and had a fantastic time at the zoo highly recommend it
A great experience. The Orangutan's were lovely and it was great to be able to get so close to them. You can't reach out and touch them, but they did reach out and touch us.
Feeding the elephants was also great, as was feeding the tiger extra cost later on in the zoo.
Well worth a trip and something you will never forget.
We absolutely loved this. The Orangutans gave us lots of laughs. Very Cheeky! The Zoo is well set out. The Gibbons really held our attention. Like everywhere we went in Bali, the staff were amazing.
Fantastic for up close and personal and the zoo itself was awesome. I also got to hand feed a tiger for an extra couple of dollars. Breakfast was lovely and the facilities clean and well kept. The only reservation I had was even though there a few orangutangs to view, there were too many groups and by the time our turn came, we were table 32 of 35 the orangutangs had enough of posing for the day so I suggest smaller groups of 25 tables a day to the zoo. The staff were awesome and informative.
staff helpful expensive event too many people viewing too few orangutans zoo not good housing for animals too much building and commercialisation driver was excellent
Although the zoo was kept clean. The enclosures were small and not very stimulating for the animals. Not only that but at the breakfast we witnessed animals being hurt. First, some of the elephants were being hit on the head with a metal hook. They were also were wearing saddles so that tourist could ride them. One of the keepers grabbed an orangutan by its leg so he could let the tourists take photos of it and held it very tightly. It was so sad to see and it was clear that many of he animals were stressed.
Start the most important meal of the day with our adorable Orangutan at their playground. Breakfast in the zoo might be a common thing, but breakfast with Orangutan?
