Wander among ancient giant sequoias on this hiking tour of the famous Mariposa Grove! Giant Sequoia redwoods are the most massive living things on Earth, and Mariposa Grove is home to some of the most famous sequoia trees in the Sierras. All of the trail options will take us past notable trees such as the Telescope Tree, the Faithful Couple and the Clothespin Tree. Some trees, such as the Fallen Giant and the Wawona Tunnel Tree, have lived their 3,000-plus year lives and have fallen, giving us a unique perspective of their girth.
Your guide will lead you through the grove talking about the unique ecology of the Sequoia as well as the history of the Wawona area and Yosemite National Park. This tour is a great opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of Yosemite Valley for a day and bask in the silent majesty of this truly special place.
