Groenplaats
Groenplaats is an open city square below the cathedral quarter, framed by historic buildings and used as a meeting point in central Antwerp.
Why go
Use the square as a pause between the cathedral and the Meir shopping route. Its surrounding façades and public space reward a slow circuit, while the Rubens statue provides a focal point within the wider plaza. The square itself is an outdoor urban stop rather than an indoor attraction.

Useful to know
The square is exposed to weather and can be busy during public events.
