Museum aan de Stroom
The MAS in Eilandje connects Antwerp’s port history to wider stories of trade and culture. Its red-stone tower also offers a rising promenade and a rooftop panorama.
The museum’s collections explain Antwerp through its links with the world, while the building makes that relationship visible. Follow the glazed route upward for changing views of Eilandje, the Scheldt and the city, then decide how much gallery time to give the themes inside.
What to look for
Curved glass and red sandstone wrap the distinctive tower.
The nine-floor promenade changes the view as you climb.
The rooftop panorama takes in Antwerp and its port setting.
Useful to know
Separate a roof visit from a gallery visit when planning your time; they are different experiences.
Allow time for the upward promenade rather than heading straight for the panorama.
