Why go
The curved shore encloses a lagoon that suits wading and a slower swim. It gives the southeastern end of Aruba a very different beach experience from the busier Palm Beach strip. The water deepens toward the inlet, so the sheltered inner lagoon and the marked snorkel area call for different choices.
What to look for
- The half-moon shore wraps around a shallow lagoon.
- The lagoon changes from gentle shallows toward the deeper inlet.
Useful to know
- Stay inside the marked snorkel area; do not treat the inlet like the shallow inner lagoon.
- Pair a beach stop with nearby San Nicolaas if you want both a swim and a town walk.
