Arriving in Atlanta by Train
Amtrak's Atlanta stop is on Peachtree Street north of Downtown. It is separate from MARTA rail, so plan the final connection to your lodging before your train arrives.
Why go
The station's Peachtree Street location can be convenient for parts of Midtown, but it is not a downtown rail terminal. Amtrak's Crescent links Atlanta with cities to the northeast and southwest; arrival times and onward transport deserve attention because there is no direct transfer onto a MARTA train at the station.
Useful to know
Check the current Amtrak timetable and your arrival time before arranging a pickup or onward journey.
Plan a bus, taxi, or other connection if you need MARTA rail; there is no direct rail interchange at the Amtrak station.
