Why go
Broken Beach adds a geological stop that contrasts with Kelingking's long ridge. The sea enters beneath the arch while visitors walk around the rim above it. The site works best as part of a western Nusa Penida route, with enough time to avoid rushing near cliffs and surge channels.
What to look for
- A broad limestone arch separates the inlet from open sea.
- The walking rim reveals the cove from several angles.
- Ocean swell remains visible and audible beneath the apparently enclosed water.
Useful to know
- Remain on established paths and keep distance from the rim, especially in wind or rain.
- Treat nearby natural pools as exposed ocean features and follow local closures or warnings.
