Campuhan Ridge Walk

A paved ridge path near central Ubud rises between two river valleys, offering an open landscape walk that is best before heat and cloud build.

Campuhan Ridge Walk

Why go

Campuhan provides a simple way to step out of Ubud's traffic without committing to a remote rice-field excursion. The exposed crest gives broad views across grass, palms and scattered buildings. Its value is the changing light and air, not a single monument, so an early or late walk works better than midday.

What to look for

  • The narrow crest separates two steep green valleys.
  • Low grass and palms open wider views than most walks around Ubud.
  • The path begins close to temples and the built town before entering a quieter ridge.

Useful to know

  • Walk early or late because the ridge has little shade and can become hot quickly.
  • Turn back when weather closes in; rain makes connecting paths and slopes less forgiving.
