Parliament Buildings

View Bridgetown’s coral-stone Parliament Buildings and clock tower from the civic streets. The exterior gives National Heroes Square its distinctive nineteenth-century architectural backdrop.

Parliament Buildings

Why go

The Parliament Buildings give Bridgetown’s civic centre a distinct nineteenth-century silhouette. From the public square, look at the coral-stone wings and the tall clock tower beside National Heroes Square. The House of Assembly and Senate use the complex, making it an active seat of government as well as a landmark. An exterior view brings its architecture into the same walk as the square, the Careenage and nearby historic streets.

What to look for

  • The coral-stone wings seen from the square.
  • The Parliament clock tower.

Useful to know

  • View from public civic space; the museum and National Heroes Gallery are closed until further notice.
