Pebbles Beach
Choose Pebbles Beach for a specific Carlisle Bay shore stop close to Bridgetown. Its sheltered shallows, Bay Street access and early morning horse exercise give this strand a character of its own.
Pebbles Beach sits at the southern end of Carlisle Bay, with sheltered, shallow water within an easy walk of Bridgetown. Racehorses are exercised on the sand early in the morning, though sightings should never be promised. It is a useful named access point for a short swim or shore walk rather than an interchangeable label for the whole bay. Check the flag before entering the water.
What to look for
The Bay Street approach to the sheltered beach.
Early morning horse exercise, when it occurs.
A short shoreline walk beside Carlisle Bay.
Useful to know
Check the NCC beach flag and keep clear of horses and boat activity.
