Santa Teresa dei Maschi
Look for Santa Teresa’s dome above the old town, then approach its baroque frontage for an architectural contrast to Bari’s better-known Romanesque churches.
The former Carmelite church introduces another period in Bari’s religious landscape. Its massing and dome stand apart from the lower medieval street fabric, making it useful for understanding how the old town changed over time. Exhibitions may add an interior experience, but this recommendation does not depend on an unverified programme.
