Why go
Begin at Yonghe Temple (Lama Temple), where a former princely residence became a Tibetan Buddhist monastery. Continue west to Beijing Confucius Temple and its stone records of imperial examination success, then finish beside it at Imperial Academy (Guozijian), where the Biyong Hall and lecture courtyards explain state education. The three sites sit close enough for a coherent half-day, but each uses courtyards and ceremonial gates differently. Check current ticketing and worship access before leaving, and keep the academy optional if a long temple visit or crowds slow the sequence.
