Genex Tower (Western City Gate)
Two concrete towers joined high above the street form Novi Beograd's Western City Gate. Go for the exterior architecture; public access inside or at the top is unverified.
Mihajlo Mitrović designed the paired towers as a monumental gateway on the western approach to Belgrade. The bridge and circular former restaurant create a silhouette unlike the surrounding housing blocks. Seeing it from ground level makes the scale and late Yugoslav architectural ambition clear.
What to look for
A high bridge joins the two towers into a single gateway form.
The circular structure at the top was designed as a revolving restaurant.
The taller tower is residential, so the complex is not simply a tourist attraction.
Useful to know
Plan this as an exterior stop in Novi Beograd.
Leave enough distance to see both towers and their connecting bridge in one view.
