Military Museum
Inside Belgrade Fortress, the Military Museum traces warfare through weapons, armor and equipment. It adds an indoor historical layer to a walk around Kalemegdan and the river overlook.
The collection moves from ancient and medieval arms toward modern military history, making changes in equipment visible in one visit. Outdoor artillery and armored vehicles extend the display beyond the building. Pair the museum with the fortress walls so the exhibits sit within a real defensive site.
What to look for
Ancient and medieval weapons show how fighting equipment changed over time.
Modern military objects carry the story into the twentieth century.
Tanks and artillery are displayed outside the museum building.
Useful to know
Give the galleries their own time within a Kalemegdan visit.
Check the museum's current visitor information before relying on an indoor stop.
