Museum of Aviation
Beside Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, this museum combines aircraft history with a striking glass display building. It is a dedicated outing for aviation fans rather than a quick city-center stop.
Aircraft from Yugoslav and Serbian military and civilian flying fill the geodesic-style building and surrounding grounds. The range from gliders to jets gives the visit more breadth than a single-era military collection, while the unusual building is worth examining in its own right.
What to look for
The glass museum building has a distinctive rounded, geometric form.
Aircraft stand both inside the building and on the surrounding grounds.
The collection spans gliders, helicopters and jet aircraft.
Useful to know
Treat this as a separate airport-area outing, allowing time for travel from central Belgrade.
Leave time for both indoor exhibits and the aircraft outside.
