Why go

This is a varied northern Bordeaux day for visitors who want green space, museums and the river districts in one route. Jardin Public makes a gentle opening, with the natural history museum close by. Capc brings contemporary art into the sequence, while the Musée du Vin et du Négoce gives the Chartrons a different focus. Continue toward Cité du Vin, where the essential route ends. The Base Sous-Marine is an optional final stop if you still have time and energy. The indoor visits can absorb much of the day, so keep the garden and the walk between venues light and check each venue’s current exhibitions before leaving.
