Arriving in Bristol by train
Bristol Temple Meads is the main arrival station for the centre; Bristol Parkway is farther north. Check which station your train serves before planning the final leg.
The station choice shapes the first part of a Bristol visit. Temple Meads puts you nearer the Old City and Harbourside, though there is still a walk or onward ride. Parkway suits a different northern approach and should not be treated as a city-centre arrival. Services from London and other UK cities make either possible, depending on the train you choose.
Useful to know
Confirm whether your ticket arrives at Temple Meads or Parkway.
Plan the onward walk or local connection from the station to your first stop.
Check live rail times and interchange details rather than relying on a fixed journey duration.
