Harbour ferries and boat trips
A boat can turn a Bristol Harbour journey into part of the sightseeing. Ferries suit a named quay-to-quay trip; longer cruises give more time to see the waterways from the water.
The Floating Harbour runs through the centre, so a boat offers a different view of quays, bridges and former working waterfront than a pavement walk. A short ferry crossing can connect two stops; a narrated harbour or Avon cruise serves a slower, more focused outing. Choose between those experiences before looking at a timetable.
Useful to know
Pick the boarding and landing quays before relying on a ferry as transport.
Check the current operator timetable and service season for your travel date.
Allow a walking alternative if weather or service changes affect the boat.
