On a sheet of paper, a few marks can describe a figure, a landscape or an idea still being worked out. Room 90a forms part of the changing prints and drawings display shared with Room 90. Look closely at one sheet to see whether its marks are continuous, repeated, light or densely worked. The wider collection reaches from early prints and Old Master drawings to contemporary work. Paper needs controlled exposure to light, so individual works have limited display periods. For a visit focused on a particular work, use the separate Study Room arrangements.
