Arriving by Train
Gara de Nord is Bucharest's principal rail station, connecting domestic and selected international services with the metro and city transport network.
Why go
The station is practical rather than ceremonial, and a little preparation makes arrival easier. Confirm the operating company, train number and platform information close to departure, then plan the final city transfer from Gara de Nord. Keep enough connection time for long-distance delays, especially before a flight or fixed-entry attraction.
Useful to know
Check current railway information directly with the relevant operator.
Keep luggage secure and move to the signed metro, taxi or pickup area before reorganising your route.
