The granite lower casing and nearby queens’ pyramids reveal different construction choices from Khufu and Khafre. Its position at the south end of the group also widens the spatial view of the necropolis. Looking back toward the larger pyramids makes Menkaure’s smaller scale part of the story rather than a drawback.
