Why go
Centre Street divides east and west on the north side, while Macleod Trail roughly carries that division south of the centre. The Bow River and, farther east, Memorial Drive help define the north–south quadrant boundary. Numbered avenues generally run east–west and numbered streets north–south, so the quadrant and street type can prevent a wrong turn before you travel.
Useful to know
- Enter the full street name, number and quadrant suffix in directions; do not drop NE, NW, SE or SW.
- In suburbs, check the complete road ending as well as the community name; similar names may lead to different streets.
- Do not assume a road called Trail is a quiet path: major Calgary roads use that suffix.
