Kejimkujik National Park
Kejimkujik has two separate Nova Scotia landscapes: an inland network of lakes and canoe routes, and a smaller Atlantic coastal unit. Pick the one that matches your day rather than expecting them to connect on foot.
The inland waterways were travel routes for Mi'kmaq ancestors, and petroglyphs make that long presence visible. The National Historic Site designation covers almost the entire main park. Kejimkujik Seaside instead offers beaches and coastal wetlands, giving the park two distinct ways to experience southern Nova Scotia.
What to look for
Lakes and rivers form routes through the inland park.
Mi’kmaq petroglyphs record a long cultural presence.
Kejimkujik Seaside protects beaches and coastal wetlands.
Useful to know
Choose the inland park for paddling and cultural history, or Seaside for an Atlantic coast walk.
Plan separate travel time for the two park units.
