Kicking Horse Mountain Resort
Near Golden, this Purcell Mountain resort is shaped by a long vertical descent, high bowls and steep chutes, with easier routes available between demanding terrain.
Riding to the upper mountain reveals the contrast: Crystal Bowl offers a more approachable descent, while Bowl Over and the ridges lead toward steeper skiing. The bowl system makes terrain choice more consequential here than at a compact hill with fewer route decisions.
