Why go
This central Cannes walk suits visitors who want the film festival setting and the resort’s seafront architecture in one manageable outing. Begin outside the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, then cross to Hôtel Barrière Le Majestic Cannes before following a chosen section of the Promenade de la Croisette. Carlton Cannes and Hôtel Martinez are exterior stops, so there is no assumption of hotel access. Finish with an exhibition at La Malmaison Contemporary Art Centre if it is open. The route is mostly level, but the promenade is exposed in heat or wind; shorten the waterfront pauses when conditions are uncomfortable. Check the gallery programme before setting out.
