Iziko Old Town House
The Old Town House faces Greenmarket Square and holds the Michaelis Collection inside an eighteenth-century civic building. Entry reveals rooms that a quick look from the square cannot show.
Why go
Enter for art and for a closer look at the old town hall architecture, rather than treating the façade as the whole visit. The museum has a quieter scale than the larger gallery nearby. Its indoor collection also makes it a useful centre-city stop when weather turns poor.
